A well recognised and successful engineering consultancy is looking to recruit a PSDP professional for a range of projects around the country in diverse sectors such as site development and infrastructure projects connected to construction in the education, healthcare and commercial sectors. The successful applicant could be based in either Leinster or Munster. This is a permanent position which would suit a safety / engineering professional with about 5 years or more in the PSDP function. Responsibilities will include: Fulfilling PSDP responsibilities as outlined in relevant Safety Health and Welfare legislation. Review of design and risk assessments regarding compliance with safety regulations. Attendance at coordination meetings on project design. Attendance at site meetings. Advisory role to clients and designers for compliance with legislation and best practice. Supervision of contractor safety and review of relevant safety documentation. Completion of Safety Audits, Safety reviews and inspections on live projects. Requirements for this PSDP role: Health and Safety Degree/Diploma or relevant engineering degree with PSDP experience. Experience in fulfilling the PSDP function. Site based Construction Safety Experience. Chartered Engineer status advantageous but not essential.
