Our client, a leading multi-national is now seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst on a permanent basis based in South Dublin. We are looking for professional with very strong application development skills, experienced in Teradata, SQL, ETL tools and UNIX . Your main responsibilities will be: Develop Teradata Database applications to meet business requirements using Teradata SQL, BTEQ, TPT and Unix shell scripting. Production and review of design documents. Maintain Data Model using Erwin. Support Batch processing and ensure sufficient quality checks in place to detect or resolve issues with input data. Develop and execute detailed Test Plans. Strong focus on adherence to standards/methodologies (Sarbanes Oxley. Undertake ad-hoc data analysis and reporting using SQL. Required Skills/Experience: 3rd Level Degree in IT. Combination of technical and business skills with a minimum of 5 years technical experience. Programming background – database knowledge; Strong SQL, ETL tools, file manipulation e.g. Unix skills (Shell, Bash, AWK. Experience of complex solutions and full project management lifecycle development/methodologies. Experience on at least one large Data Warehouse project. Experienced at debugging complex logic. Knowledge of reporting tools an advantage. Hands-on experience of UNIX, TERADATA and AB INITIO, while not essential, would be a distinct advantage.
