This well known Operation is looking to recruit a Junior Sous/Carvery Chef to join their team with a passionate, self motivated and energetic attitude to join their busy kitchen team. They operate a busy restaurant/ bar food and carvery. Ideally you will have a mix of all these where the menus would be described as traditional with influences from around the world. Duties Include: - Insuring that the menus mise-en place is ready for all periods of service throughout the day. - Help prepare dishes so they are ready for guests at the right time, in line with brand standards (Element menu. - Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in motivating the team and ensuring that the best service is delivered in terms of quality, production and presentation. - Ensure that the Health & Safety regulations and complied with and applied in the department (Keep equipment and work spaces clean and tidy. - Check food items on delivery and tidy them into cold storage. - Supervise the kitchen brigade in the absence of the Head Chef or Sous chef. Spotlight on Personality: -Thorough and methodical. -Fast and efficient worker. -Listening skills and adaptability. -Attention to detail and quality. -Observant. -Well organised. Flexibility (Full time position) is required as there will be a combination of early morning, evening and weekend shifts. The main shifts are day time hours from 9-4 pm with a mix of evenings also.
